A Spark of Revolution

The protests occurring in Los Angeles began on June 6th, just as the fiery, angry fury of Mars entered an alignment of conflict with the liberating, rebellious dynamism of Uranus. These two planets in combination tend to represent explosive uprisings against real or perceived oppression, typically carrying a banner of freedom and rebellion against tyranny. Past illustrative examples include the start of the Civil War, pitting the freedom to enslave against freedom for the enslaved; the attack on Pearl Harbor, the trigger that launched the U.S. into the global battle against fascism; and the Capitol attack of January 6th, 2021.

When Mars and Uranus meet, the need for freedom breaks through any established veneers of politeness. The famous phrase from the movie Network sums it up: "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take this anymore!"

This statement comes in response to an overbearing regime of one sort or another. But the planetary combo of Mars and Uranus also represents the sowing of chaos by the regime's agents of violent repression. Or, it can represent a noisy mob incited by a deluded mass movement. The energy of a group can be very seductive, and move with its own rhythm, without respect to the individuals caught up in it. When massive change is moving through the world, it is easy to cling to the safety of a group out of fear, which can be leveraged by powerful leaders to manipulate the group's actions.

The power of Mars-Uranus can also be leveraged by people who are courageously speaking out, showing up, and voicing truths that can pierce straight through the clouds of gaslit deception that have lulled half of the population to sleep. The battle playing out on the streets of L.A. is the first of many, and will further galvanize people into camps of truth or lies, with the difference between them becoming ever more obvious.

This particular strain of planetary tension will begin to move off by the start of next week. The drama in L.A. may continue to smolder, or it may die down for now. But the years-long transit of Uranus squaring the Moon of the United States, followed by the country's Uranus return, will continue to reflect the ever growing tensions amongst its people, their oppression by a growing — but ultimately failing — authoritarian menace, and strengthen our resolve to not take this anymore.

Meanwhile, the Sagittarius Full Moon of June 11th occurs at near exact conjunction with the Sagittarius Full Moon that occurred on the day the U.S. President was born. This astounding synchronistic alignment is a spotlight on his character and intentions. It is clearer now more than ever how he intends to wield his presidential power. The full moon also squares the lunar nodes, strongly incentivizing us to re-envision what is real, what is delusion, and which we will choose to be in service to. For some, like the President, the response will be doubling and tripling down on the negative side of the Pisces-Virgo nodes: Deceive others to give away their agency and blindly serve the whims of the deceiver.

The Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries that has just begun, lasting for about a year, is clearing up the foggy confusion and dreary helplessness that coincided with those planets' transit through Pisces these past few years. Our souls have been enriched with the compassion and depth of feeling that comes from Pisces, but when Saturn and Neptune re-enter Aries in February of next year, the work of waking up from the fog and cleaning up the Piscean mess will begin in earnest. The age of air and fire is about to begin, and the streets of L.A. are the proving ground for a spark of revolution that is kicking off the most dramatic transformation of civilization any of us will ever witness.

  1. Once again a read , a reread and a read again. Profundity lies herein with observations, insights and conclusions containing acerbity appropriate to the times. To cloak all of this in the moral authority of the heart mirrors the passion of the people and your genius writing perfectly reflects the intensity of this long distance cosmic call to action , the imprimatur of galactic consciousness . Thank you!

Wow, you managed to make sense of a situation that is anything but sensible. I know we are in a dramatic change, but these details make it all even more present. Thanks for an extremely well written article.

    • Thank you Wencke, I’m glad the article touched you. Making sense of the chaos isn’t easy but astrology gives us a good frame to understand the essence of the drama.
